Dios Mamajes

"Dios Mamajes" is a phrase in the Ivatan dialect, meaning "Thank you". These couple are walking back towards their house in Chavayan village of Sabtang island, coming home after a whole day's work. The Ivatan people, hardy storm-proof folk of Batanes islands, are a hardworking bunch. Very impressive to see not a single kid begging for some change in the streets.
