Venice of the East

Posted by
shoti (somewhere in, China) on 17 May 2010 in Lifestyle & Culture and Portfolio.

China has lots of 'water towns' and Wuzhen is one of them. Being a very pretty place, one can expect that this place would be packed with local and foreign tourists alike. Mind you, I visited the place on a Monday and the place was still packed with tourists, albeit only local ones. I've seen very few foreign tourists. The town is undeniably pretty, though it felt much much less authentic as it's filled with shops and guest rooms. If you want to experience something more authentic, I suggest you get a bike and take a ride round the town.

Reminds me a Van Gogh painting of one of his Netherlander bridge : very nice softness of your light. Colors are very nice under this mist.
