the end of the cycle

Posted by
shoti (somewhere in, China) on 10 November 2009 in Sport & Recreation and Portfolio.

it's been a year since I last participated in this sport we love, called Dragon boat. as I was browsing through my archives, I saw this. I think this was one of the first few shots I took with my d90.

I used to loved dragon boat paddling, I love the euphoria I get in every race. But ever since I got my D40, I rarely go to trainings(though I still manage to participate in races, and we still won some :)) ) now I'm very far from Manila, I long to get back to this sport again. oh well :)

yea btw, this is an image of the dock where we used to load and unload people in the boats.

Longing for long boats, that sounds like harmonious true deep feelings, Shoti. You seem to talk not only of sport but a period, a place, people with whom you shared - memories linked to the practise and those quiet long boats waiting in this beautiful blue (blues ? :) offer a fab mood of sweet nostalgia (not the sad one, the smiling one, when we know we'll be back one day or another). Thks for sharing the story within the pure lighted image.

Perfect capture to be in solitude mode. With its color, so peaceful, a chance to reflect and reminisce…..
