The Tiger Leaping GorgePosted by shoti (Everywhere in the, Philippines) on 22 April 2009 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio. 虎跳峡 I've been waiting for so long to post this series. This place is so magnificent, breathtaking. It felt like seeing my crush on campus. The place made me feel so small, it reminded me about my responsibilities as a temporary resident in this planet. It fueled my love for nature. I'm not sure if this photo is enough to make people want to save our planet but I hope this helps by making people appreciate our nature and cause them to be responsible for their own actions. enough said. watch out for the next few photos :) I will try to be as honest as possible with my comments on your photos, I expect you to be the same. critiques are welcome, constructive or not :) please visit my friends' photoblogs: Living is easy with eyes closed. I can only speak/understand English, Chinese, Filipino. So please, if you don't want me writing Filipino comments on your page, use English/Chinese/Filipino when commenting on mine :)

Nice composition and loved the fading tones into the distance. 22 Apr 2009 6:42pm DarkElf from Perth, Australiawow! amazing place and composition! the river below is a fantastic way to lead the eyes in and i really like how every layer of mountains as you travel on seems to fade away more and more... excellent photo! 23 Apr 2009 3:09am @Moridi: I guess that's because of the long focal length. I don't want to further increase the overall contrast since I guess I would lose some important details in the photo. I increased local contrast, though. Thanks for your input Moridi :) dj.tigersprout from New York City, USA, United Stateswow -- what a superb landscape!! 24 Apr 2009 6:38am Dick Berry from saint Joseph, United StatesThanks for your comment on my blog that I just noticed today.
